An EXPLOSION of Creativity

Art, CreaTIViTy…..I'm seeing it EVERYWHERE, in every way. MOST ESPECIALLY, THIS week, I have found myself DRAWN to poetry, art, design, art & science projects & differnt forms of art & expression. The words I would tie to my most recent experiences with ART are: curiosity, a retreat, an escape, a release, joy, light, connectedness, memories, reminders, a glimpse. 

Tonight, I will share images of some of the pieces, quotes, and artwork that have been inspiring to me this week, in one way or another. Reflecting, yet again, on personal experiences..... part of the "overwhelm" I, (& I believe, many others feel) is an EXPLOSION of creativity....literally. I see it everywhere in EVERYTHING. Here are some examples from my life: 

• Fundraising auctioneers brainstorming & CREATEing online, virtual, & tailored alternatives for fundraising, due to social distancing restrictions.
• Livestock exhibitors & their parents finding CREATIVE alternatives to the typical show/sale environment. 
• CREATIVE ways to share, explain, educate the public on how different industries are handling this shutdown and what it means for business.
• Businesses shifting & adjusting to find a way and CREATE a way to adapt & offer their goods/services in a variety of different ways.
• The adjustment of our own "typical" marketing campaigns, to find new ways to reach people.
• Business owners changing their business plans as the observe the changes they are seeing before their eyes.
•  The GAZILLION different ways people are staying connected to those they can't see. 
• ART pieces & social media posts encouraging ALL the "essential" workers.
• ART pieces & social media posts encouraging people in general.
• I have experienced more CREATIVE negotiating tactics & creative excuses :)........just being honest. 
• Face masks, as a form of EXPRESSION.
• SO MANY more Facebook games & challenges, seeming to all be geared at finding a connection.
• An OVERWHELMING increase in email MARKETING, with many different messages.
• The many ways President Trump and other government leaders are keeping us informed. 
• The ways communities are COMING TOGETHER & creating ways to show support to: high school seniors, athletes, college graduates, the elderly, the struggling, the recently unemployed, area non-profits, medical employees, city officials, EMS/EMT, doctors, nurses
• The documentaries that are replacing some of the MUCH MISSED sporting events.
• Strategic plans for non-profits changing and adapting & how they are communicating that change. 

I could keep going. I find myself being more creative & I'M LOVING IT! I've missed it. In fact, I had no idea I has gotten so far from it. I'm glad to be back! Buck Up Baby & let yourself be as CREATIVE as you want to be. Don't put ANY limits on yourself & ENCOURAGE CrEAtivIty in others. God bless ALL of you!

Is there an INTERN out there?

Hey all!! So things have been BuSy in Buck Up Auction Land & I've kinda identified a few things we have a need for....

I'm lookin' for SOMEONE who may have some of the following interests/traits/qualities:

-Social Media Knowledge (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest....IDK...maybe SnapChat).
-An eye for GOOD (good pics, good angles, good ideas...you get the drift)
-Maybe an interest in PHOTOGRAPHY or MARKETING or ADVERTISING or GRAPHIC Design
-Definately NEEDS to be a High Energy Person, but can HOLD IT TOGETHER
-CrEatIVE with an eye for PURPOSE
-Someone who can ADAPT to change (If you're not sure...no WORRIES. We can teach it ;))

It would not require lots of hours. You'd have to be able to help on weekends, but not all day & only a few hours at a time & not every weekend. I MAY ask you to submit some IDEAS for our RandOM brain-storming sessions.

WE'd prefer that you LOVE JESUS. If you don't....you can bet yo britches, we'll be workin' on ya!

Antique Fair Adventure: Day 3 of the Wandering Auctioneer :)

So yesterday was a busy office day.... LOTS of planning, organizing, designing, communicating, etc.

We got ALL of our SUPER COOL ;) marketing pieces assembled!

I got the ZAPP HALL WANDERING AUCTION flyer finished - for Saturday DAY (11-???).

We talked about MORE items donated to our CHELSEA'S MEADOW AUCTION in Round Top - Saturday NIGHT (Starting @ 5:30). They're havin' pulled pork & chopped beef sandwiches at the concession booth, so come get you some GRUB & BID on some REALLY FaBulouS items!!

Another adventurous day TODAY & the MOST, coolEST, hillbilly hoppin', boot-STOMPIN, GAUDIED-up PARTY you ever did see.......JUNK-O-RAMA PROM!!!

Our Antique Fair Adventure: The Wandering Auctioneer Day 1 Recap

Good Morning Lovelies!!

Me & the gals have been thinkin' & we have decided & started implementing a VERY grassroots/guerilla/out of the box marketing campaign for Buck Up Auctions.

Let's just say it has a little somethin' to do with little ole me, my dear sweet workin' girl Christie, a wagon, & a portable PA system....and charities, several different charities. I'll have more details for you later this evening (or tomorrow morning).

We spent ALL day yesterday in the fields of Warrenton & Round Top talking to landowners & vendors & we've got more work to do today.

A Couple of other things....

A SUPER cReaTIVe lady brought the beginnings of this idea to me, we tweaked it & turned it to make it make sense to us. Then we went out & talked to vendors & organizers & BY THE GRACE OF GOD he has turned it into something SO MUCH MORE than what I thought.

We talked about this idea in February & I wrestled with it since then. I crawfished in & out of it. BUT the Good Lord WOULD NOT LET ME TURN IT LOOSE. It even got to a point where I didn't know how much I really wanted to do it anymore, but that I HAD to do it. Now....just one day in.....I am SO thankful I forged forward.

FOLKS...this is DIFFerENt. It is....but it's a GOOD different & I hope ya'll have as much fun with it as we do!
